You are looking at the brand new 3rd version of JavaCritic, internally code named jc3. Currently it is in the early development stages with main UI tests and design currently being performed. Please check back often as we will be documenting the new features in some upcoming articles, there is also the option of alpha and beta testing when the time comes.
02-Feb-2006: I have decided that I will be designing jc3 with Firefox in mind rather than IE. The main reason is that IE seems to hate the way I layout elements using CSS. Specifically it doesn't seem to like using the width, margin (and possibly also the padding) attributes together. I will continue to test pages in IE but, during initial development I will be consentrating on layout compatability in Firefox (and, I guess, other gecko based browsers.)
My idea to solve this is to use a different style sheet with IE and select it based on the USER_AGENT sent by the browser. However, its likely that the site will function in IE using the 'Firefox style sheet' but the layout will be skewed and, basically, trashed.
Oh well, can only hope IE7 fixes this......
